Conference Overview

For this year’s program, we will be covering a vast array of topics, including some of the common themes of infection control prevention with regional updates, the latest questions in relation to COVID-19, and learning about the role of various healthcare professionals in AMR and ASP.

Furthermore, with the rise in the number of healthcare acquired infections, Infection Control has become extremely important in the healthcare setting. The challenge to prevention is monumental and can be difficult to maintain, though with the use of proper protocols, most can be prevented.  We aim to understand the challenges and discuss the best ways to fight the spread of infections all while obtaining CME points.

  • Emergence of viral outbreaks and pandemics: with COVID-19 almost behind us, what is the future of pandemics and what have we learned?
  • Healthcare Associated Infection (HAI) prevention moves beyond COVID-19 pandemic: let’s go back to our bread and butter, HAIs are still prevalent in a healthcare setting, so how can we prevent these?
  • Update on surveillance on HAI and data handling: exploring how the use of data can reduce HAIs
  • Updates on COVID Vaccination: Is an annual shot needed or not, how will the vaccination continue to evolve?
