A spotlight on heroes in quality and patient safety.

Patient Safety and Medcare Hospitals & Medical Centres, part of the Aster DM Healthcare Group recognise the untiring efforts and service of healthcare professionals working towards quality and patient safety.

We are seeking to spotlight these efforts by launching recognition awards for ‘Quality and Patient Safety’ projects.

Hospitals across the world are welcome to participate and submit their call for nomination.

About the awards

The awards have been developed to recognise the continous work and efforts in the field of quality management and patient safety.

Nominations can be made for established or ongoing initiatives that demonstrate sustainable methods for addressing a patient safety concern.

The Quality and Patient Safety initiatives must demonstrate scalable and transferable learnings and how the initiative is improving patient safety outcomes.

The Awards ceremony will take place from 12:30 – 13:00 on the 29th of September at Falcon Ballroom A, Le Meridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre.

Submission criteria

 

All submissions must satisfy the following criteria: 

Teamwork approach that includes people from different fields

Use of facts and best practices

Creative or innovative approaches 

Adopting a comprehensive method for improving quality, managing change, and program implementation

Evidence of sustainability (like putting it in the business or operational plan) and scalability 

Evidence that patient safety is improved/improving

How patients and families are being meaningfully involved in the initiative

Please read the below before you submit your nomination: 

All hospitals are eligible to nominate their improvement initiatives

Projects should be a team effort- No individual nominations

Projects done until 2 years back and sustained are eligible for entries

Entries should be submitted online with relevant evidence documents

Hospitals can nominate up to 3 projects in different categories

Submission language – English

Winners in each category shall be announced during the Patient Safety Conference. 

All award winners selection would be made on a merit basis by a panel of expert external Jury

No travel or accommodation allowance would be provided

Winners will be eligible for discounted rates for the conference
